Getting there and around
Airport Granada doesn't have an international airport so if you want to fly to Granada you will have to first fly to Madrid or Barcelona. There are not many flights to Granada, so depending on when you arrive it may be advisable to get a bus or train rather than waiting in Madrid. The nearest international airport is Malaga, the best way to get from Malaga to Granada is by bus. Granada airport is 12km from the city center. To get from the airport there is a bus service or taxis when the bus is not available.
Bus Granada's bus station is at Carretera de Jaen s/n, the continuation of Avenida de Madrid, 3 km north west of the centre. All services operate from here except for a few to nearby destinations such as Fuente Vaqueros, Viznar and the Estacion de Esqui Sierra Nevada. Alsina Graells runs to Las Alpujarras, Cordoba eight times daily, Seville nine times daily, Malaga fourteen times daily and Jaen, Baeza, Ubeda, Cazorla, Almeria, Almunecar and Nerja several times daily.
Trains The station is 1.5 km west of the centre on Avenida de Andaluces, off Avenida de la Constitucion. Three trains run daily to and from Antequera and Seville and to and from Almeria. To Madrid there is a daily Talgo at 3.40 pm and a night train. One train daily goes to Valencia and Barcelona.
